Speakers John Marenbon, Olivier Boulnois and John Robertson will discuss the concept of the Long Middle Ages and that of modernity. They will reflect on the origins of modernity and on why we need to rethink both 'Middle Ages' and 'modernity' as frameworks for analysis.
